Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Angry Menu Hider

No. Hiding only removes the link from the menu. Anyone who knows the URL can still open the page if their role has the capability. Blocking access to the page itself is a Pro feature. Some menu items are missing from the list. The plugin records menu items as administrators browse wp-admin. Visit the page that shows the missing item as an administrator, then reload the settings page. If a plugin was removed and its items are still listed, use 🔄 Clear list. This clears only the recorded list, never your rules.

The plugin warns you before saving rules that would hide everything from you or hide its own settings page. The settings page is always reachable at wp-admin/options-general.php?page=angry-menu-hider.

Only if you select the Administrator role. Rules apply only to the role you set them for.

Yes. Every role on the site is listed, including roles added by other plugins (WooCommerce, membership, LMS). A user with several roles gets the rules of all of them.

Only if you agree. On activation the plugin asks whether you want to share some basic data with us through Freemius, the platform that handles our licenses and upgrades: your name and email, your site's URL, WordPress and PHP versions, and the list of plugins and themes. It helps us find compatibility problems. You can skip it, and the plugin works exactly the same. Your menu rules never leave your site. Pro licenses are activated and updated through Freemius. See the Freemius privacy policy.
