Yes. The AI categorization is powered by the CategoriX cloud service. You can sign up for a free account at categorix.ai which includes 50 product credits per month.
By default, CategoriX only processes products in the "Uncategorized" category. The Safety Lock feature prevents the AI from overwriting products that you've manually categorized. You can also choose to re-categorize all products if needed.
Accuracy depends on your product data quality. Products with clear titles and descriptions typically get 90%+ confidence. The confidence threshold system ensures that uncertain matches are sent to you for review rather than being applied automatically.
Yes. CategoriX uses WooCommerce's Action Scheduler to process products in the background in batches of 100. It handles stores with thousands of products without causing timeouts.
Yes. Every change is tracked. You can revert individual products or an entire batch from the Review Queue.
Product name, description, brand (if available), current category, and product attributes are sent to the CategoriX API for classification. No customer data, order data, or payment information is ever transmitted.
