No. The plugin reports findings of an automatic scan and outputs the privacy policy you created in Complianty. It gives no legal advice and makes no statement about the legal situation of your website.

Your website keeps working. The plugin shows the last known status in the admin and keeps outputting the stored copy of your privacy policy. After a failed request it pauses further requests for a while (five minutes, doubling up to six hours).

None. The plugin sends no visitor data and loads no external scripts, fonts or images. Your server fetches the data.

No. The free check only ever sends the address of the website the plugin runs on.

The button appears only if the token was created with the permission to start scans. You can change this in your Complianty account.

The plugin is developed in the open: https://github.com/Tobias-Keller/complianty-connector. The plugin has no runtime dependencies. The folder vendor contains only the Composer autoloader (MIT license). To rebuild it, run composer install --no-dev --classmap-authoritative. The blocks need no build step.
