Yes. CtrlSite Connector's function is to connect your site to the CtrlSite service (https://ctrlsite.io/) — it is a client endpoint for that remote service, not a standalone tool. Without an active pairing, it performs no actions and exchanges no data.

Go to CtrlSite in WP Admin dashboard. Click "Open for Connection" to generate a one-time pairing link valid for 30 seconds, then complete pairing from your CtrlSite account. Click "Unpair" at any time to immediately revoke the connection and clear the stored connection secret.

Only data related to actions you initiate or authorize is exchanged, and only while your site is paired. Depending on which functions are enabled and requested, this can include site configuration, content, users, plugins/themes, files, database results, logs, cron/cache data, media, WooCommerce data, and WordPress Abilities data. See "External services" above for details.

Yes. When enabled and specifically requested through your CtrlSite account, remote actions can include privileged operations such as content and user management, installing plugins/themes from the WordPress.org directory, file reads and writes (excluding writes to PHP and server-configuration files, and excluding reads of credential and server-configuration files), structured read-only database queries, and database maintenance operations such as table optimization and cleanup of orphaned or expired data. You control this through pairing and the Abilities exposure/blocklist settings on the plugin's admin page.

All communication with the CtrlSite service uses authenticated encryption, and requests include replay protection to reject reused or expired messages.

No. Multisite networks are not currently supported.

Uninstalling removes all Connector-specific settings and the stored connection secret from the current site, including pairing status and Abilities exposure settings. It does not delete content, users, or other data created through remote actions, and it does not affect settings owned by other plugins.
