It makes it easy to add crosswords and word search puzzles to pages on your WordPress website, with or without AI help.

It does not directly create puzzles from a simple prompt. Instead, it gives you an easy way to use AI tools to create lists of words and hints (including generating them straight from an existing article), which are then used to generate a crossword or word search grid.

No separate plugin is required. AI generation features are built in and only need an API key from a supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or a local Ollama installation), set under EV Puzzles Settings → AI Config.

No, it does not.

Puzzles are added as real Gutenberg blocks, not a shortcode. Add the "Ev Crossword Viewer" or "Ev Word Search Viewer" block from the block inserter in any page or post, then use its sidebar panel to pick any puzzle you've already generated. The puzzle is stored in the block itself, so the page doesn't depend on anything else to display it.

Yes. Every puzzle you generate is saved on its own, independently of any page. Add the viewer block to as many pages as you like and pick the same puzzle each time.

Yes. Deleting the auto-appended puzzle section from an article only removes it from that article; the underlying crossword and word search aren't deleted. Add them to any other page the same way you would any generated puzzle - via the viewer block's picker, or by cutting the block and pasting it elsewhere. You keep full control over where, or whether, each puzzle appears.
