Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ExpressFind Image Search for AliExpress – Reverse Photo Product Finder

The plugin uses the AliExpress Search By Image API on RapidAPI. Create a free RapidAPI account, open that API's page, subscribe to a plan, and copy the value shown for the X-RapidAPI-Key header. Paste it into the plugin's settings screen. The key is yours: usage is billed to your own RapidAPI account, and the plugin never sends it anywhere except to that API.

Uploaded photos are normally handed to the API as a temporary public URL, which a local site cannot provide. Switch How images are sent to As the image data itself under Settings, and uploads will work from any install. Searching by an image URL always works.

Every search that is not answered from the cache is one call against your RapidAPI plan. Turn caching on, set a per-visitor rate limit and a daily cap, and watch the usage screen. Those four settings are what stand between a busy day and a surprise invoice.

Yes, and there is no rate to look up. Pick one of 46 currencies under Pricing & links and the plugin converts every price using a built-in rate, formats it with the right symbol on the right side, and can round everything to end in .99. The rates are approximate and fixed at release; if you track the real one, set an override, or hook the sbia_exchange_rate filter to feed in a live figure. Left on the default, prices are shown exactly as the supplier quoted them, labelled with the currency they came in, such as CNY 4.09.

Yes. Put your parameters in Extra link parameters as a query string, for example aff_id=12345&campaign=photo. They are appended to every product link.

There is a full dark palette, and it can follow the visitor's own system setting, or be forced light or dark per page with the theme attribute.

Turn on the hover button under Settings → Extras. A small Search this image button appears on the images you choose with a CSS selector, and the results open in a pop-up.

No. It is only needed for the one-click product import, which is otherwise hidden.
