By default, it has general knowledge on your website technical aspect, like installed plugins, themes, and general configuration. However, optionally you can add more context directly within the chat interface if you want it to focus on one particular thing, like one of your posts, pages, plugins, themes, or user.
Yes, that is the point of it: it drafts and edits posts, generates images, changes settings and can write files under wp-content to build a small plugin or patch a template. Four things keep that in hand. It acts as you and inherits your capabilities, so it can never do anything you could not do by hand. Anything destructive or visible to the public is shown to you first and only happens once you agree. Every file it writes or removes is backed up beforehand, and trashed posts go to the WordPress trash, so nothing is permanently destroyed. And file editing stays inside wp-content and honours the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS and DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT constants, so a site that has locked file editing stays locked.
No. All features are taggable with guided settings. Developers can extend via hooks and filters, but it’s not required.
OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and Moonshot (Kimi) are built-in. You can enable one or all of them, and leave the model set to Auto to have Generatify pick the best connected one per request.
Generatify complements existing tools. Use it to AI-power your site and automate gaps (like missing alt text or meta descriptions), not to replace other plugins you already use.
When a feature is enabled that requires advanced AI provider for processing the request, the relevant text (e.g., post content, prompt, or user question) is sent to your configured provider(s) for processing. You control which features run and which providers are active.
For some features Generatify has built-in, local AI models or other AI-like strategies to make some features work, however advanced AI functions require AI backend and hence at least one AI provider API enabled.
The free version includes the AI Page Agent, the Helpdesk Agent, smart compose, AI related posts, content summaries, AI toxicity checking for comments and AI alt text for images. Generatify Pro adds the AI provider connectors (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Kimi), the full AI Assistant Chatbot copilot, AI content generation in the block editor, AI meta descriptions, the advanced helpdesk modes, every advanced setting and priority support. Automations run asynchronously or on save where possible. Front-end features load lightweight assets and make API calls on demand, so normally it will not affect your website speed.
