Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Linkhale – Affiliate Link Checker for Amazon

No. Nothing changes until you choose a fix, look at its preview and press Apply. Every change is written to the change log with the exact text before and after, and can be undone one change at a time or as a whole fix.
Never. Linkhale holds no tracking ID of its own. It only ever writes an ID you listed as yours, and it refuses a fix that would write any other.
Not in this version. Linkhale works entirely on your site and never contacts Amazon, so it reads your links as they are written and does not look up the products behind them.
Yes. Add your own ID under Your tracking IDs, then use "Replace someone else's ID" on the Overview or filter the Links table by the old ID. The preview shows every link it would change; Undo puts any of them back.
The United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Japan, Singapore and Australia. Each store has its own tracking IDs, and a link carrying another store's ID is flagged.
A short link hides which tracking ID it carries, and opening it would mean asking Amazon, which Linkhale never does. So it lists every short link and suggests replacing it by hand with the full link from your Associates account.
No. The scan and the fixes run in your admin screens, in small batches. Your visitors get nothing from Linkhale unless you switch on the statement (a sentence in your posts) or click counts (a small script, loaded after the page).
It reads Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi and Thrive Architect layouts and lists the Amazon links in them, but it does not change a page-builder layout in this version: fix those links in your page builder. Links in the block editor and the classic editor are read and fixed. A layout is your page only while its page builder is active. If you removed the builder, WordPress shows each post's own content instead: Linkhale reads and fixes that content, and the Overview names the old layouts it found, without counting their links.
Linkhale reads your saved posts, not the page your theme or a plugin builds from them. If your site adds rel="sponsored" to Amazon links when pages are shown, tick "My site already marks Amazon links as sponsored when pages are shown" in Settings. Linkhale then stops listing those links and stops offering to add rel="sponsored". Nothing on your site changes.
Yes. The Amazon address of an external (affiliate) product is read like any other link, and the fixes change it in the product's own field, with the same preview and undo.
