Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about LogiShield Security – Login Security, 2FA, Limit Login, Brute Force Protection, Firewall

Even the strongest passwords can be compromised through phishing, keyloggers, or database leaks from other websites where you might have reused the same password. A WordPress login security plugin adds layers of defense (like two-factor authentication WordPress, and hidden URLs) so that knowing the password is no longer enough to breach your site.
Absolutely not. Unlike bulky security suites that scan thousands of files and slow down your server, LogiShield WordPress login security plugin is purpose-built specifically for the authentication gateway. It is highly optimized, modular, and lightweight. Disabled features do not load, ensuring your Time to First Byte (TTFB) remains lightning-fast.
The process is simple. Once the WordPress 2FA plugin is activated, navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on LogiShield Security. Then click on Setup 2FA for Your Account and scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication section and tick the Enable 2FA checkbox. Then click Update Profile and use your preferred 2FA app (such as Google Authenticator for WordPress) to scan the QR code and enter the 6-digit code in the designated box.
Yes, it is highly recommended. Go to Dashboard > LogiShield Security, then set a custom login slug in the Custom Login URL section. LogiShield security plugin safely handles the 301 redirects and safely masks the wp-login.php file without permanently altering core WordPress files.
When you set up a WordPress 2FA plugin, you will be provided with a set of emergency backup codes. You must print these out or save them in a secure, offline location. If you lose your device, you can use one of these single-use backup codes to bypass the WordPress 2FA plugin prompt and regain access to your dashboard.
