Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about NexraOne Agent

NexraOne requests the registered site's URL from its own servers at the configured interval. A connection failure or HTTP 5xx response counts as a failed check. After the configured number of consecutive failures, NexraOne sends a downtime alert; it records recovery when a later check succeeds. The default interval is 5 minutes and the default alert threshold is 3 consecutive failures. This external check does not depend on WP-Cron running on the monitored site.
Yes. NexraOne Agent is the connector between a WordPress site and the hosted NexraOne service. You can create an account before or during setup.
The Free plan supports up to 3 sites and does not require a credit card. Check the NexraOne pricing page for current paid-plan limits.
External monitoring can check whether a URL responds. The Agent reports information from inside WordPress, including WP-Cron health, fatal errors, login failures, email delivery failures, installed versions, pending updates, disk usage, and configuration diagnostics.
Yes. Install the Agent on each site to view their status, versions, alerts, and updates in the same NexraOne dashboard. Each installation counts toward your plan's site limit.
No. Remote update commands are disabled by default. A WordPress administrator must enable Allow remote update commands from NexraOne in the plugin settings. Enabling the setting permits commands from the paired NexraOne account; it does not start an update by itself.
Safe Update saves the database and files belonging to the update targets on the site. It then checks the home page response, HTML, title element, and WordPress REST API. That on-site backup does not include uploads, and Safe Update does not test forms, payments, bookings, or member login. If you also turn on the external backup for a Safe Update, a full backup is sent to your storage first, and the on-site backup and the updates follow.
Partly. Safe Update keeps a limited backup on the site for its update workflow. The optional external backup sends the database and wp-content to storage outside your server on a schedule, and NexraOne can restore the database and files from it to the same site when both external backups and remote updates are allowed. The Agent reports login failures but is not a firewall, malware scanner, or access-control product.
No. External backups are off by default. A WordPress administrator must turn on Allow external backups in the plugin settings, and a backup is only sent after you set up or run one in NexraOne. The plugin does not keep storage credentials. If the destination you chose in NexraOne changes later, nothing is sent until an administrator approves the new destination in WordPress.
They go to the storage you choose in NexraOne: your own S3-compatible storage, or Cloudflare R2 provided by NexraOne. A backup contains a database export, the files in wp-content (except those you exclude), and a manifest.json. wp-config.php is never included. See External services below.
