Yes. The gift card field appears in the order summary of the cart block and the checkout block, and the totals update straight away.

No. A gift card is money the customer already paid, so it is taken off the final total after tax, the same way a payment is. Coupons, on the other hand, lower the price of the products and the tax with it.

It stays on the card. The customer can use it on a later order until the card expires.

Yes, unless you switch off Several cards per order under Presentero, Settings, Redeeming.

When the order is cancelled or fully refunded, exactly what it took from each card goes back onto that card. A WooCommerce refund only covers what was paid another way, so for a partial refund of the gift card part use Refund to card in the Gift cards box on the order screen. It gives back the amount you choose, and a later cancellation gives back only what is left.

Check that the order is Processing or Completed, that the Gift card received email is switched on under WooCommerce, Settings, Emails, and that other store emails arrive. The Gift cards box on the order screen shows when each card was emailed, and has a Send again link.

Yes, on the Gift cards page in My Account. Cards they buy for themselves appear there automatically. Cards someone sent them can be added by entering the code.

Codes are long random strings made with a secure random number generator. Every place that accepts a code counts wrong attempts, and a visitor who enters too many has to wait before trying again. You set both numbers under Presentero, Settings, Redeeming. Attempts are counted per visitor IP address. With Visitor IP address on Detect automatically, the default, Presentero uses the real visitor address behind Cloudflare and behind a load balancer or proxy on your own network, and accepts the forwarded address only when the request really came from Cloudflare or your own network.

Yes. The gift card fields, the balance checker and the wallet work on pages kept in a page cache or an edge cache for days or weeks. When a page is older than its security token lasts, the storefront fetches a current one with a small request that is never cached.

Not by default. While the cart holds a gift card, Afterpay and Clearpay in WooCommerce Stripe and Pay Later in WooCommerce PayPal Payments are not offered, so gift cards are paid in full. Cards, the PayPal button and every other payment method stay. Switch off Presentero, Settings, Selling, Buy now, pay later to offer them.
