Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about QtyGuard – Minimum Quantity for WooCommerce

Yes. You can set a minimum quantity for each individual variation independently, in addition to product-level and store-wide minimums.
The most specific rule always wins. QtyGuard checks the variation minimum first; if it is not set, it checks the product minimum; if that is not set either, it falls back to the global minimum.
Make sure you entered a value greater than 0 in the Minimum Quantity field for that specific variation, and that the variation itself is saved (click "Save changes" on the Variations tab). If a variation's field is left blank, it will use the product or global minimum instead, which is expected behavior.
Both. Minimum quantity is enforced when adding to cart, and it is checked again on the Cart page so it can't be bypassed by adjusting quantities afterward.
Not out of the box - QtyGuard applies the same minimum to all customers/roles. Role-based or customer-specific rules are not currently supported.
QtyGuard is built and tested for standard WooCommerce simple and variable products. Compatibility with subscription or bundle plugins is not guaranteed.
No. QtyGuard only runs a couple of lightweight meta lookups on the product pages, cart, and checkout - there is no impact on page load elsewhere in your store.
Yes, all strings are wrapped for translation under the text domain qtyguard-minimum-quantity.
