No. Recomaze works on any WordPress site, including a blog or a content site with no shop at all - the chat agent, AEO and GEO features all run without it. WooCommerce is only needed for the catalog features: product scanning and scoring, bulk product rewrites, product recommendations and the product feed.
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization: optimizing a site so AI assistants can retrieve, understand and cite it when they generate an answer, rather than optimizing only for a ranked list of links.
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It is used interchangeably with AEO and describes the same goal: being the source a generative AI builds its answer from.
SEO competes for a position on a results page the visitor still has to click. AEO competes to be inside the answer itself. The work is different: facts stated plainly, structure a machine can parse, and content published against the question actually being asked.
An AI recommends what it can retrieve and verify. In practice that means pages that state facts plainly, a machine-readable summary of the site, structured data an assistant can lift, and content that answers the question. Recomaze automates all four and then tracks whether the mentions appear.
A gap is a conversation your chat agent handled badly - a question it could not answer, a product it could not find, a visitor it could not guide. Recomaze groups them by type and attaches a fix to each: draft the missing knowledge base article, write the article on that topic, rewrite the product, or update a policy.
llms.txt is a plain-text file at the root of a site telling AI crawlers what the site is, what it offers and where the important content lives - robots.txt, aimed at language models. Recomaze generates and serves it at /llms.txt and /llm.txt automatically.
Yes. Content generated by Recomaze is published with Article and FAQPage JSON-LD in the page head, so answer engines can extract a question and its answer directly.
Yes. Recomaze tracks a set of buying questions, records which brands are named in the answers and which sources are cited, and reports your share over time next to the competitors taking the rest.
Yes, and it feeds them. When Recomaze publishes an article it fills in Yoast SEO's and Rank Math's own fields on that post - focus keyphrase, SEO title and meta description - so the post arrives complete instead of needing a second pass. It never touches your site-wide SEO settings, sitemaps or existing posts, so nothing it does conflicts with Yoast, Rank Math or All in One SEO.
