Go to discogs.com/settings/developers while logged in to your Discogs account and click "Generate new token". Paste the generated token into the Access token field under WooCommerce → Discogs Sync → Settings.

No. This application uses Discogs' API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. 'Discogs' is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.

No. The plugin only communicates with api.discogs.com to fetch your own inventory and release data. It sends no telemetry and does not share data with any other third party.

Only when you ask it to, and never by surprise. The sync starts in practice mode: it logs what it would do without touching anything. Once you switch practice mode off, a paid shop order sets the matching Discogs listing to Draft (reversible), a cancelled shop order brings it back, and — only if you enable it — shop price changes are pushed to your listings. Records marked "do not offer on Discogs" are never touched, and RecordToko never cancels a Discogs order on its own. New listings are only ever created from the "List on Discogs" tab, by you, and always as Drafts first.

A safety net, on by default and separate per direction. "Practice mode — Discogs" means RecordToko never writes to Discogs; "practice mode — shop stock" means Discogs sales and the daily reconciliation do not change your stock. In both cases every action it would have taken is written to the change log with a "(practice mode)" marker. Start by switching off the shop-stock one: it only touches your own shop, and while it is on, records sold on Discogs stay for sale in your shop — wp-admin warns you about that.

Yes. RecordToko reads the number of copies on each Discogs listing and keeps the shop stock in step with it: one Discogs sale = one copy less in the shop, one shop sale = one copy less on Discogs (lowered automatically where Discogs allows it, otherwise with a reminder). Returned records or extra copies: raise the stock yourself, or raise the quantity on Discogs, and the other side follows.

Only when you want them to: tick "Add new Discogs listings to the shop automatically" on the Sync tab. Once a day, during the reconciliation, every record you put up for sale on Discogs after your last import is added to the shop exactly as an import would add it (up to 25 a day; the rest follow the next day). Records you deleted from the shop are never brought back. Without the setting, new listings come in with the next import on the Import tab.

It covers the Dutch, Belgian, German, French and UK rules out of the box. It is a bookkeeping aid, not tax advice.

Products are matched by SKU, which holds the Discogs listing ID. Price, stock, status and categories are refreshed; the product name, descriptions and any photo you added yourself are left untouched, so your own edits survive every re-import.

The unmodified inventory export from Discogs (Marketplace - Export inventory). Do not open and re-save it in a spreadsheet first: that can change the price format, which the plugin will refuse loudly rather than import incorrectly.
