No. Local protection works without an external account or service.

It authenticates the optional ScanDeath Cloud service. It does not unlock local plugin functionality.

The default block duration is 10 minutes. You can change the duration in the ScanDeath settings.

The block is removed automatically when the IP accesses the site again after the configured block period has ended.

Yes. Add trusted addresses under ScanDeath > Settings.

Yes. ScanDeath protects requests that pass through WordPress/PHP. Static files or cached responses served without WordPress are outside the plugin's control and should be protected by the web server or another firewall if required.

Use the emergency-off option described in ScanDeath > Help or access the site from a trusted administrator connection and adjust the trusted IP settings.

Deleting ScanDeath through WordPress removes its local settings, rules, logs, blocked-IP data, caches, and scheduled tasks. A normal deactivation or update does not delete this data.
