Your site issues its own access token, so the connection goes straight from your AI app to your site rather than through SiteSkite's servers. Your site does need to be served over HTTPS. Creating a free account adds the platform on top: your other sites in one place, backups, monitoring, sandboxes, and the SiteSkite portal tools.

Yes. Connecting an AI app to your site with SiteSkite MCP costs nothing, is not trial-limited, and is not metered by requests or actions. Live on-site edits also do not consume SiteSkite AI Site Studio credits — those apply only to generating a whole site in the SiteSkite portal.
