Yes. The plugin is free and fully functional, with no message limits, time limits or license checks. You only pay your AI provider for usage. Sparxio Pro is an optional separate plugin for WooCommerce chat, live agent takeover, advanced analytics and proactive engagement.

Yes. Sparxio uses your own key, so you stay in control of usage and cost. Supported: OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq, OpenRouter, a local Ollama model, or any OpenAI-compatible API.

Yes. Choose OpenAI in AI Settings, paste your OpenAI API key, and pick a GPT model. You can switch to Claude, Gemini or another provider at any time without losing your knowledge base or settings.

Yes. OpenRouter offers free models, and Google Gemini and Groq have free tiers. Free tiers have rate limits set by the provider, so for busy sites a low-cost paid model is recommended.

You pay your provider directly. On affordable models this is usually a fraction of a cent per conversation. History limits, summaries and session timeouts keep usage low.

Open Sparxio → Knowledge Base and add FAQs, upload PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD or CSV files, or import web pages or your whole sitemap. The bot uses this content to answer questions.

With "Only answer from what you know" (on by default), the bot only states facts like phone numbers, addresses, prices and policies that you have given it. If it doesn't know, it says so and offers a next step instead of guessing.

Yes. Turn on lead capture and the chat asks for name, email and phone after a number of messages you choose. Leads appear in Sparxio → Leads and can be exported to CSV.

No. The widget loads after your page content and runs inside Shadow DOM, so it doesn't conflict with your theme's CSS or JavaScript.

The AI replies in whatever language the visitor writes in, and the widget interface ships in 30 languages. Set a default language and turn on browser auto-detection in Sparxio → Behavior.
