A popup with invented sales is a false claim to your customers, and in many countries it breaks consumer law. Sales Popup only shows paid orders from your own shop, so every popup is true.

Shown: a first name only if you choose it (or "Someone", or half a name), the billing city or state, the product name, photo and link, and how long ago. Never shown: surname, address lines, postcode, phone, email, price or quantity.

At checkout the buyer sees "Show my purchase in the store's recent sales popup". If the buyer unticks it, that order is never shown. In the settings you choose whether the box starts ticked or unticked. On the Block checkout the buyer's choice also appears in the order details and in the emails.

Yes, if they are inside the time window and paid. Those orders have no saved checkbox choice, so they are shown by your name and location settings. Sales Popup shows popups as soon as it is activated. If you sell to Europe, set Name to Hidden and answer the first question before you leave the settings open to visitors.

We recommend it. Add a sentence saying that the shop shows recent purchases (product, town and time) in a popup, and that buyers can opt out at checkout.

Yes. The popup list is loaded after the page, in one small request that is cached on the server for 10 minutes. A saved copy of your page still shows current orders.
