Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about VDL Search Visibility Scanner - Noindex, Sitemap & SEO Audit

No. V1 checks visibility signals only. It does not submit URLs or scrape search results.
No external API is required for scanning. The only external navigation is the optional support/review link clicked by an administrator.
No. This plugin does not force Google indexing, guarantee rankings, or submit normal pages to Google. It helps you find technical issues that may block discovery or make pages harder for search engines to understand.
No. No WordPress plugin can force Google to index normal pages. This plugin checks whether WordPress is sending technical signals that may block discovery, such as noindex, robots.txt problems, sitemap gaps, redirects, and unexpected canonicals.
The full scan is a bounded sample of up to 50 pages, not an exhaustive crawl. It checks the homepage, any manually requested page, selected public pages and recent posts, and up to 25 sitemap-sampled page URLs within that total. Sitemap membership is checked separately from that page sample, across up to 20 sitemap files and 10,000 unique URLs within a bounded fetch window. If a sitemap is malformed, inaccessible, outside the site's origin, or exceeds a limit, an unfound URL is marked Not verified, not missing. A URL actually found in the checked sitemap data remains Included. Dashboard and exports show coverage and scan limits.
A timeout, blocked redirect, incomplete sitemap, unavailable parser or oversized response can prevent a reliable verdict. It does not prove the page is broken or healthy. Retry the check and review the reported coverage before changing the site. Older reports do not gain this evidence automatically; run a new scan after updating.
No. Requests and every redirect must stay on the configured site's exact scheme, hostname and effective port. A redirect outside that origin is not followed. Scan results are kept locally in WordPress unless you choose to export or share them.
