Yes, this can be done by going to the settings page and choosing default status from list. Please refer to screenshots
On Checkout page when clicked it collapses payment methods, ignores shipping and pushes order through without payment or shipping simply as a Quote Request. No Payment method provided error To fix this error follow these 2 steps 1. Edit checkout page and put [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode. 2. Activate atleast one payment method. If none active, then activate COD Payment Method.
