Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about WebDiagnosis Site Audit

No. The analysis itself runs on the WebDiagnosis service, not on your server. Diagnostics run when you trigger them, or, if you enable automatic monitoring, after an update and at the interval you choose. The plugin adds no frontend scripts and does not affect your visitors' page load times.
Only if you enable automatic monitoring, which is disabled by default and asks for its own consent. It then runs a diagnostic a few minutes after an update, and regularly if you tick that option. Each automatic diagnostic counts towards the diagnostic quota, and a notice in your admin tells you what it found. You can disable it at any time in Settings > Automatic monitoring.
The diagnostic uses technical data such as your WordPress and PHP versions, active plugins, theme information, and server configuration. No personal data or site content is transmitted.
No. The plugin works on its own: accept data sharing and run a diagnostic. No account or key is needed.
Because WebDiagnosis doesn't guess. If a check cannot access the data it needs, it reports "Not verifiable" instead of raising a potentially false issue.
Most checks look at your site from the internet, as a visitor or a search engine does: its pages, HTTP headers, certificate and exposed files. When the WebDiagnosis service cannot reach your site (a local site, a staging site behind a password, an intranet or a firewall), only the checks the plugin runs from inside WordPress are carried out, fewer than a third of them. The report says so at the top. For a full diagnostic, run it on the live site.
No. WebDiagnosis Site Audit is an independent plugin developed by WebDiagnosis. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WordPress, the WordPress Foundation, or Automattic.
