Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about WMGRs Request a Quote for WooCommerce

No — it is completely separate. Adding a product to a quote does not touch the WooCommerce cart, and vice versa. A customer can have items in both at the same time, which is the point: they can buy the in-stock items now and ask about the rest.
As entries in your WordPress dashboard under WooCommerce → Quote Requests, with the customer's details, their message, every requested item and the price each item had at the moment of the request. Deleting the plugin keeps the requests.
Yes, by default. You can require login in the settings, or target rules at specific roles only if quotes should be a trade-account feature.
Create a rule targeting that user role. Rules are evaluated in order and the first match wins, so put your specific role rules above any catch-all "Everyone" rule.
Yes — enable quote-only mode on the rule. Matched products lose the add-to-cart button and can only be added to a quote, which is the usual setup for trade-only catalogues.
Yes. The selected variation and its attributes are captured, so a quote for a specific size or finish arrives as that variation rather than as the parent product.
A page containing the [wmraq_quote] shortcode is created automatically when you activate the plugin. You can move that shortcode to any page you prefer, or place it inside an existing page.
Yes, under the Settings tab. "Add to Quote", "Request Price" and "Enquire" are all common choices depending on how formal your buyers are.
The form includes a honeypot field that real visitors never fill in; submissions that trip it are silently discarded. Requests are also nonce-verified, and you can require login if you want a harder barrier.
No. There is no background processing and no external service — rules are evaluated when a product is displayed, and the quote basket is stored in the customer's session until they submit it.
