Yes. Candidates can upload a PDF or Word document (.doc or .docx). The file is sent directly to ChatHire servers for AI parsing — it never touches your WordPress server or database. Candidates can also paste resume text as an alternative.

All data is stored in your ChatHire account on secure servers (Google Cloud and Supabase). Nothing is stored in your WordPress database.

Yes. The plugin uses its own styles that work independently of your theme. If you notice any visual conflicts, contact support@chathire.ai with your theme name.

Use the dept attribute: [chathire_careers dept="Sales"] — the department name must match exactly what you set in ChatHire.

Yes. Go to Settings → ChatHire and toggle individual fields on or off. You can show or hide Phone, LinkedIn, Cover Letter, Work Authorization, Portfolio, Availability, Salary Expectation, Location, and more — no coding required.

By default yes, but you can make it optional. Go to Settings → ChatHire and uncheck "Require Resume Upload."

PDF (.pdf), Word 97-2003 (.doc), and Word (.docx). Maximum file size is 10MB.

The plugin only transmits data that candidates explicitly submit through your forms. We recommend mentioning ChatHire in your site's privacy policy. ChatHire's Privacy Policy is available at chathire.ai/privacy.

Yes. The footer link can be removed by adding this to your theme's functions.php or a custom CSS plugin: .chathire-footer { display: none; }. We appreciate you keeping it as it helps us grow, but it is not required.
