Once you enabled featured video for the post type, go to the post edit page, there is featured image area (in the classic editor and Featured Video in Gutenberg) for you to look for and set URL or upload a video to display video.
For YouTube and Vimeo videos, copy the URL from the browser’s address bar. You may also enter a direct URL to any video hosted on your server. For example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkuKHwetV6Q&t=39s or http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/movie.mp4
Please make a sure post featured image should have been set and video URL must be valid.
Go to the Featured Video menu > General Settings tab and choose display mode.
