It is not an email transport and does not replace an SMTP plugin. Administrators can deliberately send a test message from the Test Center, and optional blacklist alerts use the site's existing WordPress mail transport.

Mail logging is disabled by default. When enabled, it adds a small database write after each email attempt. Scans run only on demand or on the optional schedule selected by an administrator.

Each category (authentication, DNS, SMTP, security, spam risk, blacklists, server, performance) is scored from 0–100 and weighted. The weighted average becomes your score with grade A+ to F.

Email content is not sent to Elevoire. A manual or scheduled scan can contact the following third-party services: Cloudflare Public DNS and Google Public DNS: DNS-over-HTTPS queries send the diagnosed domain and requested record type when local DNS resolution is unavailable or when resolver comparison is requested. Service and privacy information: Cloudflare Public DNS privacy and Google Public DNS privacy. RDAP.org: domain names and a configured sending IP are submitted to its bootstrap endpoint to obtain public registration/allocation dates. Service and privacy information: RDAP.org. DNS blocklists: a configured sending IPv4 address is queried over DNS against Spamhaus ZEN, SpamCop, and Barracuda Reputation Block List. Their respective policies apply: Spamhaus terms, Cisco privacy, and Barracuda privacy. Your configured SMTP provider: the SMTP diagnostic connects to the server selected in another SMTP plugin. It sends an EHLO greeting and, when credentials are configured, attempts authentication. It may also test the sender/recipient envelope without sending message content. Your provider receives the connection IP, configured authentication credentials, sender/recipient addresses used by the envelope test, and SMTP commands under that provider's terms and privacy policy. Credentials are sent only after the configured TLS/SSL negotiation when encryption is enabled. No public-IP detection service is used. When an SMTP relay is involved, enter the actual sending IPv4 address in Settings if you want IP blacklist and reputation checks. The optional Mail Log is stored in this site's database. It can contain recipient addresses, subjects, headers, sources, transport errors, and—only when separately enabled—message bodies. Administrators choose the retention period. WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools include these records. Plugin tables, options, transients, schedules, and debug-log files are removed on uninstall.
