No. Tracking is lightweight and uses WordPress best practices. Data is written efficiently to your database with minimal overhead. The plugin is designed to have zero impact on page load times.
The plugin tracks total page views, not unique visitors. This means if the same person views a listing multiple times, each view is counted.
This is normal and by design! Category views represent total engagement across all listings in that category. When a visitor views a listing, each of its assigned top-level categories also receives a view count. For example, if a listing is in 3 categories and gets 100 views, those 3 categories will each receive 100 views, resulting in 300 total category views. This helps you understand which categories drive the most overall engagement across your directory.
